Becoming a confident and well-informed tenant is easy when you join the Mieterbund Darmstadt. 

We are the largest tenants’ association in southern Hesse, representing nearly 13,000 households.  The next one could be you! Our main focus is providing legal consultation for the residential and business tenants who make up our membership. 

We are also active at the community level, working as strong and recognized advocates for the housing rights of all tenants.  We strongly support tenancy law in the public interest, and are therefore one of 350 associate members of the nationally organized Deutscher Mieterbund.

If you’ve ever felt helpless when dealing with your landlord, and wanted to decide for yourself how best to handle your conflicts, then you’ve come to the right place.  The primary goal of our advice is to find appropriate solutions which defend your interests, and to carry these out efficiently.  

We have the experience which you as a tenant need to solve your problems as best as possible without going to court.  But even in cases where legal action is unavoidable, you are in good hands with us: we work together with specialist law firms which handle our members’ court cases.  As a member of Mieterbund Darmstadt, you also have the option of taking out legal insurance through DMB Rechtsschutz-Versicherung, a sensible safeguard to enforce your legal rights as a tenant.
